Owner / Head Instructor Beverly McGee is a Certified instructor through the Certified Horseman's Association, a strict, international instructor certification program, based in Tyler, Texas. Beverly is also Co-Founder and COO of Counting Strides, INC., a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of women and children. With 20+ years managing her own program, coupled by 18 years as Equestrian Director at The Vineyard Christian Sports Camp along with playing a key role in implementing the on-site equestrian program for the Girl Scouts Camp Keyauwee Program Center in 1996... her resume is more than impressive. Although she specializes in the English disciplines, Beverly is also certified through CHA to teach the Western disciplines as well. Instructor / Trainer Hunter/ Jumper/Lower Levels Dressage/Cross Country Bobbie Sawyers is one of our knowledgeable instructors here at Cardinal Stables. She has been our Instructor during our Pony and Horse Summer Camps here at Cardinal Riding Academy, for the past 2 years. Bobbie also teaches our beginner and intermediate lessons on occasion. She has over 20 years of riding experience under the instruction of Beverly McGee, and has also instructed at The Vineyard Christian Sports camp under Beverly for several years. She is knowledgeable in both the English and Western Disciplines. Bobbie is also Co-Founder and CEO of Counting Strides, INC., a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of women & children. Bobbie is a great asset to our program and spends many days schooling and training our horses. She has two small children of her own , Laicey (7yrs old) and Abigail (2 yrs old). Instructor - Novice Riders Dressage & Equitation Lauren has been riding since the age of 13 and she is skilled in Dressage & Equitation. She has had experience in many other areas of riding as well. Lauren started out as a student of Cardinal Stables several years ago and has bloomed into a wonderful horseman. We are pleased to have her return as one of our staff. Lauren is a horse owner as well. She owns a very unique black gelding, with 4 white feet, a blaze and 2 blue eyes. His name is Sonny D and he was Laurens first horse. We use Sonny here in our program as well. Lauren helps us out at camp in the summer. She helps keep some of our horses and ponies schooled and behaving well and she also volunteers her time to help teach and do whatever else we need her to do at Counting Strides, Inc. In addition, Lauren is a Sophomore at St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, NC and is a member of their equestrian team and ranked 10th in the nation in Introductory Dressage in the National Finals. Instructor Dressage Riding Master VI Cardinal Stables is sad to announce that Jana is no longer a member of our staff. We miss her dearly, but, Jana was offered a very nice position as Coach of the Albion College Huntseat Team in Michigan. Good luck Jana on your new endeavor. Cardinal Stables & Riding Academy is pleased to have Carol teaching our beginners. She has been a long time friend as well as a long time border of ours and is knowledgeable in basic to advanced riding in the several disciplines. Maintenance Jean has been Maintenance at Cardinal Stables for nearly 2 years. He also works as Grounds Keeper at The Vineyard Christian International Sports & Conference Center through out the year. Beverly McGee - Owner/Head Instructor
